5/26/2023 0 Comments A5 x moto xIf anything, this is not different as far as the price goes. We cannot give you any release date, but it shouldn’t be long before clearer details show up. The only viable explanation for this unusual scenario is that the Moto X5 could see an early launch. ![]() It’s unusual for such detailed material of a phone that is not expected until Q4 2018 to leak at this point in time. While it might seem a little too early to be talking about the Moto X4 successor, a phone that only came out in Q4 2017, we have nothing to do with the rules. Given Motorola swift Oreo rollout, they should be updating the Moto X5 to Android P too sonner than later compared to other devices in the mix. In terms of software, you can expect Android Oreo out of the box, but we still don’t know if there will be an Android One variant for Google Project Fi users. The Moto X5 is also expected to retain features such as USB-C, fast charging and possibly the 3.5mm audio jack. As for the front, the X4 has a 16MP sensor, which will either be replaced with another sensor or will simply be retained alongside a second sensor. There’s a dual camera on the back that we’ve seen will be retained, but we can’t tell whether the same 12MP+8MP combination will also be retained. Since there’s a new Snapdragon 636 on the market, this is the least we can expect to see on the Moto X5. ![]() Released in October 2017, the Moto X4 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor paired with either 3GB RAM and 32GB storage or 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Whether these have anything to do with the specs and features the phone will come with is still unknown, but we can guarantee that it will be an upgrade over the Moto X4. In the leaked material, though, there were some hard-to-deduce terms such as “Moto XP’s”, “Moto’s Smart Ai” and “Unlimited Premium”. Moto X5 specs and featuresĪlthough we already have a rough idea of what the Moto X5 will look like, we are still in the dark when it comes to specs and features. Still, you are welcome to think that the X5 may come with an in-display fingerprint scanner. But from the leaked images, it seems Lenovorola may pull another iPhone X and debut the Moto X5 with facial recognition. With the fingerprint scanner missing on the front panel, one would think it will be the on back. As for the back, the Moto X5 will come with a 3D glass material on which a dual-lens camera will rest alongside the company’s trademark logo, but with no dimple. In its place is a “motorola” text on the tiny bottom bezel, meaning you don’t get the “moto” text on the top bezel. Unlike the Moto X4, there’s no front-mounted fingerprint scanner. Interestingly, there’s a notch at the top of the screen that houses two selfie cameras and a small earpiece, which is where the iPhone X comes in.įrom the leaked image, the phone does look impressive with the screen nicely curved around the corners and doing a great job to remove the side bezels in what the company calls a borderless design. It features the new 18:9 design, meaning you get a massive 5.9-inch display screen with a full HD+ resolution, but hopefully on a body size of the X4. The Moto X5 seems to be Lenovorola’s answer to the Apple iPhone X. Lenovo wants to conquer the midrange market, at least if the latest leaks are anything to go by.
